Spooky ghost hunter Phasmophobia finally hits consoles this week, including Xbox Series X|S, and ahead of launch the team has revealed all of the game’s technical details on each platform.
The good news here is that both current-gen Xbox consoles hit 60FPS – which is nice to see, especially for Xbox Series S. However, what’s perhaps most surprising is that Xbox Series X seems to be the only console with 120FPS support – both Xbox Series S and PS5 miss out for now, with PSVR2 having its own unique setup of course.
It’s worth noting that you’ll need a 120Hz compatible TV to play at this higher frame rate – and chances are this will be a 120FPS target rather than a locked figure. Still, Series X players with the right TV setup – have at it.
Just over a week ago, Kinetic Games eventually unveiled Phasmophobia’s console release date; the game hits Xbox Series X|S on October 29th. It’s been a long road for this one to finally come to console, but at least it looks like Series X players are getting the definitive console experience – until PS5 Pro comes out anyway!
