The big release of this week is obviously Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and although we’re still a few hours away from the launch in most regions at the time of writing, it’s already available in a few countries – including New Zealand.
We’re sure we don’t need to tell you about the New Zealand trick any further – it’s something you can do if you want to risk it – but the best thing about this loophole is that despite a lack of reviews, we’ve already got some first impressions!
So, it’s very early days right now and it’s going to take some time to establish a consensus, but we’ve just picked out a few random impressions that we’ve spotted from BO6 players so far, hopefully giving you an idea of what to expect.
Let’s take a look:
There’s not really much to conclude from these impressions on their own – some people think the multiplayer maps are really good, for example, while others aren’t so keen. Zombies seems to be a big hit with the majority though, and although nobody’s had much time to play the campaign yet, it sounds like it gets off to a pretty good start at least.
What we will say is that based on what we’ve come across so far, we’ve seen a lot more positive impressions than negative ones. Keep in mind this is literally based on about three hours of play at most, so there’s a long way to go!
In terms of our Black Ops 6 review plans here at Pure Xbox, we’re going to focus on the campaign first – and we’re hoping to bring you a full review of that tomorrow (or at least by the end of the week). That’ll at least give you an idea of whether it’s worth playing over the weekend, and then we’ll get to multiplayer and Zombies when we can.
